Hey all -

This week I had my first job interview since moving to North Carolina.  It went really well and they asked me to come back for a working interview.  I had never done this before but I assumed that it meant I would learn exactly what my job duties would be and the company would learn how I interacted within the position.  Unfortunately, between the time of the first interview and the second, I realized that during the first rushed interview (the office manager was running behind and had to continue working as we interviewed) I had never discussed my class schedule.  Needless to say my schedule was not going to allow me to work the 35 hours per week that they required for the PART TIME position.

I was also asked to interview for a retail position and am waiting to hear back on the day and time.  For now I wait, and search diligently online for other positions.

Yesterday I put the sally hansen nail strips on my fingernails.  I haven’t really done much with my nails since the wedding so I also painted my toenails too.  I love having a cool pattern on my fingernails again – I always get so many compliments on them because they look so unique, and let’s face it, having nice looking nails just makes me feel more put together.  Here’s a pic of the new pattern!

In case you were wondering, it is 110 degrees here today.  Tia is getting the day off, and I am content with sitting in the AC which is thankfully fixed now!  The dogs are sleeping (Bella on the couch, and Addie by the front door – as usual).  Michael is getting out of work early and resting before he has to be back to work for “duty” where he has to be on base for 24 hours to take care of any issues that arise over the weekend.
